Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Enjoy the enormous biodiversity including the famous Mountain Gorillas


DAY 1. An early start for the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Make brief stops on the way. Lunch in Mbarara. Overnight in Buhoma Homestead.

DAY 2. After breakfast transfer to the tracking base, briefing by the guides. Be prepared for a tough and arduous day in the jungle but coming face to face with the great primates is well worth it. Overnight as day 1.

DAY 3. Leave for Kigezi Highlands, the “Switzerland of Africa”. drive back to Kampala.

Murchison Falls National Park
“Inform Sir Roderick Murchison that all is well that we are in latitude 14 30 upon the Nile and that the Nile is settled.” (Speke’s telegram to the Royal Geographical Society in 1962.)


Murchison Falls National Park is the largest park in Uganda, covering over 4000 sq. kms. since the inclusion of the adjoining game reserve. It is one of the most spectacular parks in Africa. Renowned for its scenic beauty and the spectacular fall from which it gets its name, MFNP has abundant flora and fauna to delight the visitor. From rolling savannah


and tall grasslands to thick bush and woodlands, the diversity of this park never ceases to amaze visitors and residents alike.
MFNP offers three up-market accommodation facilities: Sambiya River Lodge, located on the South bank of the park, Paraa Safari Lodge on the North bank, and Nile Safari Camp, located in the adjacent game reserve area. Each has a unique atmosphere. For the budget traveler, the park operates Bandas and camping facilities are available near park headquarters and the top of the fallls. Pakuba and Chobe Lodges are not functional at present as they have yet to be rehabilitated.

DAY 1. Meet and greet at 0730hrs at respective accommodations. Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time to cross the ferry over to the Northern bank. After lunch, you may rest and relax by the huge swim bar pool until 1645hrs whereby you will proceed for an evening game drive. Overnight: Paara Safari Logde/Sambiya River Lodge/Red Chilli Rest Camp.

DAY 2. Early rise for a dawn game drive on the North bank of the Nile. Our guide will help you view the extra ordinary variety of wildlife living here, including Uganda Kobs, elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, a vast variety of eagles and much more. In the afternoon, you will make the amazing launch trip to the Murchison Falls, described by Churchill as being like Regent’s Park Zoo and Kew Gardens Combined. Here you will see hippos, exotic birds and butterflies, and a wide variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chilli Rest Camp.

DAY 3. A very early departure to Budongo Forest, take part in an early morning guided forest walk to see a variety of primates and its families of habituated chimpanzees – it’s home to an astonishing 12 species of primate and provides one of the highest primate densities in the world. Here, on a guided forest walk, you may find families of chimpanzees, Baboon, Black and white colobus monkeys and red colobus monkeys chattering and swinging through the ancient forest trees. After lunch, drive back to Kampala.

Mount Elgon National Park, Sipi Falls
Sipi Falls, “the most beautiful and romantic waterfall in the whole of Uganda.” (Lonely Planet Guide)


Sipi is an ideal place to relax in the warm mountain sun and to go for ambles in the shambas – homestead gardens – of the local Sebei people. The camp is built around a croft-like house originally built as a Governor’s retreat, on a cliff directly overlooking the mesmerising Sipi Falls and the Karamajong plains.

Sipi is about 4-5 hours’ drive from Kampala, passing the Source of the Nile at Jinja. It is a convenient stop when visiting Kenya and travelling on to the renowned Kidepo Valley National Park in Northern Uganda.

DAY 1. Depart for Sipi in Eastern Uganda through Mabira Forest and past vast sugar cane and tea plantations, visiting Ssezibwa Falls en route. Arrive in time for a late lunch. Rest of the day at leisure at Sipi Falls Rest Camp. Dinner and overnight at Sipi Falls Rest Camp/Crows Nest/Mt. Elgon National Park Cottages.

DAY 2. After a cup of coffee or breakfast as you decide, an optional morning hike to either the Mount Elgon Forest Exploration Centre for guided walks or a ramble through the local Sabiny’s shambas returning in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, take a gentle walk to the bottom of the Falls and possibly walk up to the neighbouring Mnarya Caves. Dinner and overnight at Sipi Falls Rest Camp/Crows Nest/Mt. Elgon National Park Cottages.

DAY 3. After breakfast depart Sipi Falls for Jinja and Visit Bujagali Falls, the well-known White Water rafting base and the Source of the Nile in Jinja. Have lunch in Jinja.

Queen Elizabeth National Park
Game viewing and birding in the great East African Rift Valley, in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains.


QENP was designated a biosphere reserve for humanity under UNESCO. It covers an area of 2000 sq.kms. It has a remarkable variety of Eco-systems ranging from semi-deciduous tropical forest to green meadows, savannah and swamps. It is a home of tree-climbing lions, Uganda kob and other antelope, elephant, buffalo, hippos, baboons


and chimpanzee. Over 500 species of birds are reported in this area including the shoe bill stork, black bee-eater, 11 types of kingfishers and many more. The launch trip along the Kazinga channel between lakes George and Edward is one way to view the abundant game and birds in Queen Elizabeth National Park. North of the main gate is the crater area, one of the most scenic parts of the park.

DAY 1. Meet and greet at 8.00hrs. Drive West to Mbarara through Masaka, make brief stops at Mpambire to see the Royal Drum Makers at their centuries-old craft; at the Equator stand on both North and Southern hemispheres and take photographs. Lunch in Mbarara. Continue to see the Western arm of the great Rift Valley. Brief game stops before retiring to Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/Mweya Ecological Institute.

DAY 2. An early game drive, returning mid-morning to have breakfast. A boat cruises on the famous Kazinga Channel connecting lakes Edward and George to see animals and birds chatting away. Overnight in Mweya Safari Lodge/Mweya Ecological Institute.

DAY 3. Early morning departure for Maramagambo forest, a tropical forest where you may catch a glimpse of chimpazees and other primates. Visit the bat cave and “blue lake”. Leave for Kampala with a stop over in Mbarara for Lunch arriving early evening.

Kibale Forest National Park


Kibale forest National Park covers 766 sq kms. It has the highest number of primates in Africa, thirteen species in all, including red, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and baboons and a large number of chimpanzees. It has a unique moist forest habitat.
About 400 species of birds have been reported in Kibale; over 150 species of butterflies and a large number of moths can be discovered.


DAY 1. Meet and greet, then transfer to Fort Portal via Mubende, a little town set in rolling hills. May stop briefly at the Nakayima tree (shrine) believed to be hosting the spirit of Nakayima. Have a lunch break and arrive late afternoon in Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Logde/Crater Valley Kibale (CVK)/Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas.

DAY 2. Early morning forest walk in search for chimps and other primates. The guide will provide not only detailed information on primates but also on all the forest fauna and flora. In the afternoon take a walk to Bigodi wetland for birds and other primates living around the swamp. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/Crater Valley Kibale (CVK)/Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas.

DAY 3. Visit Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru, famous for stalactites and stalagmites and then proceed to Kampala with lunch enroute, arriving late afternoon.
