Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park


DAY 1. Pick up from hotel for an early morning departure driving north through the Luwero triangle and Masindi town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for lunch.
In the evening visit the top of the falls and possibly walk down the path to the bottom of the falls.

DAY 2. Rise early for a dawn game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. Your guide will help you spot the extra variety of wild life living here including Uganda kob, elephants, lions, giraffe, antelopes, a vast variety of birds and much more. The afternoon is reserved for a launch trip to the Murchison Falls. Here you will be able to see hippos, exotic birds and butterflies. Overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya River Lodge/Red Chilli Rest Camp.

DAY 3. Depart early for Fort Portal via Hoima through the country side past traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains. Overnight: Ndali Lodge/Crater Valley Kibale (CVK)/Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas.

DAY 4. Early breakfast and depart for Kibale Forest in search of chimpanzees. The activity starts at 7.00a.m. The forest harbors the highest concentration of primates found in East Africa. Superb birds and primates combined with easy access, a good infrastructure plus a variety of interesting activities make this forest a worth while destination. With a guided forest walk, you will find families of chimps and a variety of monkey species swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many more. A visit to Bigodi Eco-Tourism site will spice it up as rare flora and fauna awaits you. Overnight: Ndali Lodge/Crater Valley Kibale (CVK)/Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas.

DAY 5. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the Rwenzori Mountains arriving in the afternoon. After your lunch enjoy a boat trip on the Kanzinga Channel connecting Lakes Edward and George. This trip takes you possibly through the highest concentration of hippos in Africa and many other animals may be seen drinking at the waters edge. This trip offers a good opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/Mweya Ecological Institute.

DAY 6. Two game drives in the offing today. These will provide an opportunity to see lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, buffaloes, elephants, Deffasa water bucks, Uganda kob and topi plus many more in their natural habitat. The crator lakes area is another place of beauty in this park. Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/Mweya Ecological Institute.

DAY 7. Depart for Kampala via Bushenyi stopping over in Mbarara for lunch arriving in the evening.
